From 45 lakh MT of paddy production in 2016 to 264 lakh MT in 2022-23, Telangana has raised the bar in ushering the green revolution. The state today is the leading paddy producer in the country. This has been achieved due to visionary implementation of agricultural policies and executing of projects like Kaleshwaram, which is world’s largest lift irrigation system.

Haritha Haram, which is the third-largest afforestation effort in human history, has resulted in active participation from citizens who together planet 2.7 billion samplings across a million acres.

Proactive policy making, participation of stakeholders across the food processing value chain has contributed to the expansion of area under agriculture and horticulture. All this reflect the state government’s commitment to food security, environmental sustainability and a greener future for all.
